New Version of TeamWox Server Build 449

What's new:

  1. Server: Added support of the Greek and German languages.
  2. Server: Introduced the new version of the calendar component. Now year in the calendar can be changed by a click on the necessary year, using the mouse scroll wheel or by dragging a year up or down.

  3. Server: Added a page with the print version of a comment text. The print version is a page of comment text viewing without interface elements.

  4. Server: Improved keyboard support in the component of user selection and in the pop-up list with auto fill-up. Keyboard operation support allows cutting the time of information filling in forms of tasks, requests, documents, organizations, contacts, etc.

  5. Server: Added the possibility of moving to a user's profile by clicking on the user's image in the pop-up tip with his/her brief details. This allows to quickly access full information about a user when such a necessity occurs.

  6. Server: On the group administration page a link is added for viewing hierarchy of company departments to enable the quick check of changes in the company structure settings.

  7. Server: Fixed error of the processing of POST requests containing large texts. The error could result in server failure.

  8. Server: Fixed errors in the setup of sound notifications for events that could result in the resetting of parameters to default ones.

  9. Server: Fixed errors in the visual editor component.

  10. Diagram Editor: Added new features: object grouping, list of objects, levels of objects, object selection by a random edge. The new features open new possibilities for editing complex diagrams.

  11. Diagram Editor: Fixed errors in the processing of hot keys, "Prev" and "Next" buttons.

  12. Task Manager: Added possibility of quick task filtration by their subjects and assigned users. This allows finding tasks grouped by a keyword. For example, a user can indicate in a task subject keywords, tags - 'TeamWox_', 'Clients_', 'stationery' - and further view lists with the indicated criterion.

    You can also view the list of all tasks assigned to you by a certain user or tasks assigned by you to this user.

  13. Task Manager: Fixed error of moving to a page with no new comments in the list of comments.

  14. eMail Client: For the convenience of making a reference about an email in tasks or comments, added the permanent link to an email. You can copy it to the clipboard and past it in the necessary text part. Clicking on this link, a user will be moved to this certain message in the chain of emails.

  15. Team: Opened access to users' identification details (family details, education, documents, etc.) for users with the Personnel (HR, Human Resource) management permissions.

  16. Team, Organizations, Contacts, Accounting: extended information in records saved in a journal.

  17. Message Board (Forum): Added "Read all" command. It is used for quickly removing the 'unread' flag from a large number of new messages or comments that appeared during a long-term absence of a user, for example in case of a vacation.

  18. Message Board (Forum): Added page with the print version of a board (Forum) message.

  19. Documents: Added the feature of a postponed deletion of documents in the business management system. The new feature allows to prevent the accidental irretrievable deletion of important documents. Such files and catalogs can be viewed in the "Trash" filter. Documents and catalogs are automatically deleted from the trash in 30 days after being moved there.

  20. LiveUpdate: To support the operation in local networks where Internet access is provided via a proxy server, added support of the operation in such networks to the update service. Proxy server settings are taken from proxy settings of MS Internet Explorer. In the next build we plan to add setting up of a proxy server on the page "Administration -> Security".

  21. Service Desk (Helpdesk): Changed organization ideology for the structure of module groups. Each group has its own list of categories and products - earlier categories and products were indicated separately. After the installation of updates, please check settings of the lists of categories and products in groups.

  22. Service Desk (Helpdesk): Added new types of permissions for teamworks:
    - View - means that a user can view a service group, create new incidents, view only incidents assigned to him/her;
    - Moderate - means that a user can view all incidents in the group;
    - Administration - means that a user can delete any incidents and comments, change group permissions.

  23. Service Desk (Helpdesk): Added possibility to add files to a text of an incident or comment.

  24. Service Desk (Helpdesk): Added logging of users actions in the TeamWox Groupware journal.

  25. Service Desk (Helpdesk): Fixed errors in the module operation, defects in the usage convenience, improved the module interface, added icons, alerts for new incidents and comments.

  26. Accounting: Added the option of a quick invoice deletion in the "Accounting" tab when viewing a page with the details of an organization.

The live update Build 449 will be available through the LiveUpdate TeamWox Business Management Software.

What Is Software as a Service (SaaS) and What Are Its Advantages?

The idea of the SaaS model is that the customer does not purchase a software, but pays only for the functions provided by this software. As a result, the customer doesn't spend money buying and maintaining the system and additional hardware - all this is done by the SaaS provider.
