New Version of TeamWox Server Build 905

What's new:

  1. Server: To cut time spent on setup and to simplify the diagnostics of TeamWox Groupware server network environment, added check of installed SSL certificate on page Administration->Connection.

    On this page, a new block was added to show warnings in the following cases:
    • SSL certificate does not match the domain it is used on. For example, a certificate issued for team.yourcompany.com is used for website crm.othercompany.com;
    • SSL certificate was issued by a non-trusted CA. For example, the certificate delivered together with the TeamWox Groupware license is signed by MetaQuotes Software CA, which is not included to the list of trusted certification authorities in MS Windows;

    When using an incorrectly installed certificate or a certificate issued by a non-trusted authority, problems may occur when integrating Online Customer Support Live Chat with your website, when working with docs and document management via a WebDAV.

  2. Server: Extended functionality of text templates available in the visual editor:

    • Selection of the most often used templates is easier now - the last 10 used templates are shown in the list;

    • The storage mechanism was changed - the template will be available only in the moвule where it was created. This will help to faster find the required template. Thus for example mail templates will not be mixed with request templates in Service Desk (HelpDesk, bugtracking).

    • Now additional parameters are stored: attachments, subjects, categories, etc. For example, when creating templates in eMail Client and Service Desk (HelpDesk, bugtracking), you can specify a list of attachments, request category. With the template these parameters will be also added.
    All of the templates that were created earlier are now stored in the Service Desk with Customer Support Function (HelpDesk) for teamwork with feedback.

  3. Task Manager: Fixed error in operation of one-time event tasks. In the new build, if you change the triggering time after it was activated, the event will be activated again on the specified time.

    For example, after an event reminded you to call a client, you can change the time to remind you again, and it will trigger again.

  4. Documents: Added the "Organizations" column in the document viewing mode. The name and link to organization the document is bound to is shown in this column.

    Thus, in a folder of contracts with one of your clients, you can find documents that are not linked yet, or linked to another organization.

    Users who do not work with clients documents can hide this column.

  5. Documents: Added the function of document loading in the format of web archive (*.mht). A document created in TeamWox business management software can be saved on a local drive and then viewed without accessing to the system.

    A document with images that was created in TeamWox Groupware using visual editor can be downloaded as a web archive or sent by e-mail to your partner or client.

    Web archive (*.mht) viewing is supported by the following browsers: MS Internet Explorer 5.0+, Opera 9.0+. Firefox 3.0 allows viewing such files with installed Mozilla Archive Format (http://maf.mozdev.org/) or UnMHT (http://www.unmht.org/en_index.html).

  6. Contacts: For controlling work of users with the Contacts tool, added the business report on the number of contacts added by managers for a selected period.

    The business reports will help to analyze how effectively your managers work with the client base.

  7. Service Desk (Helpdesk): Extended report of the Service Desk (bugtracking) technical service group. Plus to existing reports, two more were added: business report on distribution of requests by products, and business report on distribution of requests by categories for a selected time period.

    The extended report will help you to analyze products that elicit the most of questions and problems, the categories the of most of requests that are sent to the technical support team.

  8. Service Desk (Helpdesk): To increase control over fulfillment of requests, added the "Responsibles" field. Employees responsible for solving the issue stated in the request are specified in this field.

  9. new TeamWox 1С Sync: Released the initial version of the synchronization agent to synchronize data between TeamWox Groupware and 1C products. This allows creating a single information environment in a company that actively uses 1C products and the TeamWox business management software.

    The full list of clients, suppliers and contact details will be available both to accountants who work with 1C accounting and to managers who mainly work with TeamWox Grouupware. The new information entered by anyone of them will be available to all the employees irrespective of the software they use.

  10. Fixed errors reported on forum and via Service Desk (bugtracking) requests.

The live update Build 905 will be available through the LiveUpdate TeamWox Business Management Software.
