New Version of TeamWox Server Build 1464

What's new:

  1. Help new: The built-in TeamWox Groupware Help has been translated into French.

    French speaking users of the collaboration system can read the TeamWox Help files in their native language.

    In addition to French, the TeamWox Groupware Help is available in 6 more languages: Bulgarian, English, German, Italian, Russian and Spanish.

  2. Server: New features of the multimedia viewer. Implemented support of files with the schedule of events in the iCalendar (*.ics) format.

    iCalendar is a file format for storing calendars of events. This format is used supported by a large number of popular applications, including Google Calendar, Apple iCal, Microsoft Outlook, Mozilla Thunderbird and others. This allows to use files of this format for sending invitations to meetings or events organized by your company to your partners or clients.

    The TeamWox UI has a built-in multimedia viewer, which allows to quickly view the contents of such files without having to save it to a local disk and install additional software. Starting with this build, you can quickly view files in the iCalendar (*.ics) format containing date and subject of the event you are invited to.

  3. Server: Enhanced support for the Iranian calendar. Saturday is automatically set for the first day of the week when using the Jalali calendar.

  4. Calendar: To enhance the possibilities of information exchange, implemented export of the entire calendar or a single event into an iCalendar (*.ics) file.

    As described above, iCalendar is a popular format used for sending invitation to meetings or events. Starting with this build, it has become extremely easy to notify a customer or partner of a scheduled meeting or to share a calendar of upcoming events — just export the necessary events to a file with the *.ics extension and send it by email.

  5. Calendar: For the convenience of personal time management, implemented the possibility of creating additional calendars.

    The "Calendar" module is intended for scheduling personal time and planning corporate events. For the convenience of planning, now TeamWox users can create separate calendars for each category of events - private events, meetings with clients, conferences and social events.

  6. eMail Client: As suggested by our customers, implemented an option for renaming an email conversation.

    In the TeamWox Groupware system, emails are automatically joined into conversations. This helps to follow discussions and quickly find necessary emails.

    In the process of communication, the subjects of discussions are clarified. The subject of the first email in a conversation can not reflect the essence of the discussion. To change the name of a conversation, point the cursor to the title, click on it, enter a new name and complete by pressing "Enter".

    The name of the conversation does not affect the subject of new replies within this conversation.

  7. TeamWox Communicator: Enhanced information shown in the chat dialog window.

    When initiating a dialog from a website, a client fills in a brief form in the Customer Support Live Chat (Online Assistant). This information helps to identify the client, contact them after the conversation to clarify the information if necessary.

    Client information can be viewed in the dialog box on the Live Chat page. Now this information is available right in the communicator chat window. However, by default this block is hidden to provide larger space for communication. Click on the top of the window to show or hide this block.


  8. TeamWox Communicator: Implemented synchronization and storing of the settings of the employees list on the TeamWox Groupware server.

    Communicator configuration parameters and appearance settings are stored in the files that are protected from copying to another computer or use by other users of the operating system. The data cannot be stored on USB devices, since data from the files cannot be restored on other computers and new data will be created.

    Now communicator settings can be synchronized and stored on the TeamWox Groupware server. Now you can begin to work on your laptop or home computer without spending time arranging the list of colleagues with whom you communicate most often, and hiding the list of departments with which you almost do not interact.

  9. TeamWox Communicator: To improve the usability, the notification window will not appear for 10 seconds after being closed.

    One of the tasks of the Communicator is to notify users of the latest updates in the online collaboration software. The notifications are shown in a small box that appears in the lower right corner of the screen. The window closes automatically after a while.

    In case numerous updates appear in the TeamWox Groupware system, the notification box stays open for a long time, which may be inconvenient and interfere with other applications. To prevent such a situation, the notification window will not appear for 10 seconds after being closed by a user, even if new events appear in the online business management system.

  10. TeamWox SaaS Agent: Implemented an option for quick searching an instance of the TeamWox Groupware server in all child servers of a SaaS (software as a service) framework.

    With the TeamWox SaaS Agent you can quickly and easily build a SaaS framework consisting of dozens of servers with hundreds of TeamWox instances. For a quick search, a filter field is available on the "Instances" page. However search was conducted only on the current server.

    Now, to search for a TeamWox instance on all the child servers by the domain or company name, enter the key word on the "Instances" page of the main server.

  11. Translations: Updated user interface of the collaboration software in Bulgarian, Chinese, Greek, German, Italian, Polish, Spanish and Ukrainian.

  12. Fixed errors reported on official forum, via Service Desk (bugtracking system) and in crash logs.

The live update Build 1464 will be available through the LiveUpdate TeamWox Groupware system.

TeamWox SDK: Interaction with DBMS
