TeamWox HelpHierarchy

Hierarchy

This tab displays the structure of your company in a graphical form. The structure can be represented either in the form of a circle diagram or as a dendrogram (tree). You can switch between them by pressing the "Circle" and "Tree" buttons located in the upper part of the tab.

If the structure of your company is quite complex, then it is recommended to use the specially implemented function "Parent department" while creating groups (departments). Only groups marked as "Company department" take part in forming the diagram.

Tree

Tree

The upper element of the diagram contains the company name. The hierarchy of departments and employees in them are displayed below. By a single click on a department, one can hide or show its employees. If you point the mouse cursor over a department, this department and all the superior ones will be highlighted.

Circle

Circle

The central and biggest element represents the beginning of the company (it is shown in blue). Departments and employees in them are represented as the next circles of the diagram. The heads of departments are marked with a special color, Head of department.

The diagram can be moved using the mouse (Drag'n'Drop). You can rescale the diagram using the scrolling wheel of your mouse or "+" and "-" keys. Also a department or a user can be chosen as the central element of the diagram as shown in the screenshot above. To do it, you should click on the necessary circle.
