TeamWox HelpWelcomePermissions

Permissions

Each module has its own adjustable list of access rights. The permissions can be assigned to both groups and users.

The functions of the "Server" module are delimited in the following manner:

Permissions

  1. The "Server" permission allows/denies the possibility of authorization of users/groups in the TeamWox system.
  2. The "Authenticate by login" permission allows/denies users/groups to log in to the TeamWox system using the login and the password created for them in Active Directory. Besides, the corresponding settings should be made on the "Administration -> Security" tab.
  3. The "Authenticate by login in domain" permission allows/denies users' access to the system using the login and password registered for them at Active Directory. In order to have this possibility of authorization the name of a corresponding domain should be specified in the "Domain" field at the "Security" tab of the "Administration" module.
  4. The "Authenticate by CA certificate" permission allows/denies users/groups to log in to the system using the certificates emitted by one of the trusted certification centers. Besides, the corresponding settings should be made on the "Administration -> Security" tab.

If the "Server" permission is not given, all permissions bring no effect, because the users/groups just cannot log in to the system.
